It talks about so many aspects in the job of pit bulls, A very fascinating book on the "real" history of the magnificent breed. I read this book and loved the many stories on how yes pit bulls do have a tendency to bite but they are very hipper dogs that should be trained properly. This book would be good for anyone who does not know what a pit bull is all about!

Whose Opinion Counts Most?

A delightful book that ponders the eternal question of who we are and who we can become. Can a mole fly? Like the oracles of old, the answers can be cryptic, ending up not quite what we suppose. This book was a gift from good friends. I bought a copy for my niece and her two young boys--it's never to late or too soon to contemplate some things.

Few books have the rare soul-poetry of expression this does.

I found this little book by accident, visiting somewhere, and read it only because I had nothing else to do at that moment. I don't normally even read much fiction anymore and am not given to sappy love stories.
Yet this book reached in and grabbed my heart like nothing I've ever read. It's the kind of soul-level writing that once in a great while an author is a conduit for... I'm not sure writing at this level is really a brain thing of the person, more an internal thing of the spirit. I can't talk about the plot or the information or things I would normally review in a book. It is just a story; it is a story for a person of any age; it is a better story for those who have ever known love, or known longing, or found themselves the outcast, or found inside themselves the powerful dharma of being what one is as "I AM"... in this case, he was in love.
Not only did the book hold me in a poet/dreamer thrall throughout, and make me cry in sadness and joy, and laugh out loud at many small insights or comments, but hours and even days later, my whole interpretation of my world had more... poetry to it. More color, more eloquence; as if for a time, that love and energy gave ME more poetry; a new way of looking at all things with love. (I know. This is embarrassing. But read in the right state of mind, it's a very cool book.)
I'm buying the book now so I'll have my own copy. I want to suggest to people that I love that they read it. It's like a gift I want to give. I recommend the book very much.

From the first sentence I was drawn to the writing.

One of my great joys in life is reading short stories. I love science fiction and fantasy. My special joy, however, is the fairy tale. In "The Mole and the Owl" I have found the pure essence of fairy tales. The true and pure love of the mole and his selfless heroism, the sacrifice of the owl and the actions of the wolf are magical. This story tells about all things noble and makes me believe I can be just that noble. A great story is a great story but there is something that can be added to the telling. The lyrical use of prose in this story is almost unbelievable. It sings to me like a favorite song. Ray Bradbury is the only writer I have read with an idea of prose that even comes close to comparison. I am rarely moved the way I was moved by this story. I cried. I never cry when I read. It's just a story. But still I cried.

good book and with instructions

hi i received this bundle in 2 days with free shipping, and the cost is much cheaper than in college bookstore, my college is selling it for $170.00 and i saved a lot on amazon, i am making others life easier by giving this review. it contains everything that you need, a registration code, an essel to hold your book, a small manual to accompany which i feel not necessary, and the main book of document processing.. its all in one big box.. though amazon dont give any such description and so its difficult to understand what you are ordering. i feel the other students before ordering just order a book and you can buy the code online on the gdp site.. well it both makes the same cost.. amazon saved my money..

BUY an OLDER version and save your money!

Doesn't give much for K-12 teachers. More geared to trainers and instructional designers in industry. Also, it could be better organized. Last, but most importantly. I bought this online version because I needed it FAST. I then bought an older version of the text (5th) (paper) and found that it was almost identical for a fraction of the price.

Not a very good textbook

I'm going to keep this brief, but I've read dense philosophical treatises that were more transparent in their meaning than the text here. The authors have a nice and helpful diagram and some concepts are from ed. psych and easily understood but a large amount of the text is spent trying to "intellectualize" and legitimize a fairly simple process or concept and it makes the reading dull (by contrast, the Driscoll text on Ed. Psych is great and comprehensible) and laborious work instead of something mildly interesting. Maybe this is the definitive text for instructional design but it could use a full-time editor's skilled hand.
