Review
‘‘This book provides an excellent introduction to forensic psychology.  It provides an up-to-date and comprehensive coverage of the subject which is broad enough to provide an insight into the wide range of topic areas, but detailed enough for readers to be able to gain a good grasp of the subject and importantly know where to go for more specific reading material.’’
—Dr Jo Bailey, Lead Psychologist and Directorate of Public Sector Prisons, UK

"This collection will prove indispensable to undergraduates, postgraduates and practitioners.  The unique appeal can be found not just in the range of topics presented but also their topical nature.  The literature reviews are strong and well presented, with good and appropriate use of case studies. I do not feel any similarly marketed texts are even close to this in terms of quality, breadth and application. "
—Professor Jane L. Ireland, School of Psychology, University of Central Lancashire, UK and Ashworth Research Centre (ARC), High Secure Forensic Psychiatry Services, Mersey Care NHS Trust, UK

“The 2nd edition of Forensic Psychology entrenches the work as indispensable and authoritative. This edited collection is comprehensive in its treatment of current international issues in the area. It facilitates a sophisticated understanding from a forensic and criminological psychology perspective of the complex and diverse issues that underpin and influence contemporary law and legal processes.”
—Professor Ian Freckelton, Senior Counsel, Professor of Law, Forensic Psychology and Forensic Medicine, Monash University, Australia

"Readers seeking an accessible introduction to a variety of areas of this growing discipline will find much that is useful here. The overviews of psychological issues, theoretical perspectives and relevant research are enhanced by summaries, case studies and questions for discussion. The well-chosen references and suggestions for additional reading are especially valuable. Its distinctive contribution is to go beyond familiar starting-points and to give the encouragement of further exploration a lively and tangible form."
—Dr Adrian Needs, Principal Lecturer/Chartered & HPC Registered Forensic Psychologist, University of Portsmouth, UK
